How to reach Reykjavik from Blue House?


Walking:

Cross the Valhusashaed field next to us and pass by the white church.
From there follow the coast line and after the second roundabout turn right where you enter the old harbour area. You can see the path in the map below. 
Join a walking tour: a free tour operated by CityWalk.


Bus:

Walk downhill from the Blue House towards Lindarbraut Street where you will find right at the corner the green bus shed.

4. Whale Museum: Popular museum that shows replica of whales in original size.

5. Baerins bestu pylsur: Most famous Hot Dog stand downtown. Order one hot dog with all!

Where to park in Reykjavík?

In the map below you can see the parking zones:



To each coloured zone corresponds a different price range. Notice that the first four hours are three times more expensive than the following hours/days. If you plan to park for a full week, paying it in one go will save you some money.

P1: The two red/pink colored zones are the most expensive and cost 600 ISK (~4 EUR) per hour. Maximum time is 3 hrs.
Hours: Mon-Fri: 09:00-21:00 Sat-Sun: 10:00-21:00 

P2: The blue zone costs 220 ISK (~1.4 EUR) per hour
Hours:  Mon-Fri: 09:00-21:00 Sat-Sun: 10:00-21:00 

P3: In the green zone, the first two hours cost 220 ISK each then every hour after that is only 65 ISK
Hours: Mon-Fri: 09:00-18:00 Sat-Sun: Free

P4: The yellow zone costs 220 ISK per hour
Hours: Mon-Fri: 08:00-16:00 Sat-Sun: Free
